21st February 2002 - Piranha Smacks The Pony
PNMA was commissioned to design the official interactive site for Channel 4's 'Smack The Pony', the main part of which is a quirky board game.
Jon Sprank, director of PNMA said "It shows that although we are based in the North East, we can compete with the best." "We've done a lot of work locally but this is our highest profile site yet and hopefully it will springboard us to better things."
In the off-the-wall Internet game, players race around a board, trying to pick up all the pieces of the jigsaw which shows the female stars of the hit show. Certain squares allow access to information about the cast and the programme, but there are plenty of amusing pitfalls along the way.
Piranha has been commissioned to update the site for six months and hopes to include video and soundclips from the highly rated sketch show.
Steve Berry, comedy editor for Channel 4 said "We were impressed with Piranha's innovative ideas and professional approach and very pleased with the finished production."
